Our institute as a member of the Cooperation and Conflict in Eastern Europe (KonKoop) research network was invited to the initiative’s first conference in Berlin, held on 2-3 March 2023. The network is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), and it consists of six research institutes – including FSU Jena – that will cooperate until the end of 2025 to connect and advance research carried out in Germany on conflict in Eastern Europe. The Chair of International Relations at FSU Jena was represented by Prof. Dr. Rafael Biermann, and Geza Tasner. Prof. Biermann was the moderator of the panel titled ‘Research Approaches to Conflict and Cooperation’ with the participation of Stefan Wolff (University of Birmingham), Martin Welp (Eberswalde University of Sustainable Development) and Josip Glaurdić (University of Luxembourg) (left to right on the above picture). Geza Tasner presented his PhD project in a panel dedicated to the KonKoop network’s Young Scholars working group.
