EISA 11th Exploratory Symposia - 27-30 Oct 2024 - Rapallo, Italy 

Rafael Biermann and the other two co-editors of the Patron-Client Relations in World Politics edited volume, Ivica Petrikova and Nicolò Fasola, met between October 27-30, 2024, to discuss the revised book chapters submitted by the contributors, following a round of feedback after our Authors’ Workshop in Dornburg and Jena this June. We joined the European International Studies Association’s 11th Exploratory Symposia, a workshop platform for research projects in advanced stages, held annually in the picturesque seaside town of Rapallo, Italy. During the three days, we discussed each revised chapter and agreed on many details regarding the volume's overall structure and arc. There were also major developments in the search for appropriate publishers. As a result of the workshop, the book is one step closer to a final draft. The editors of the book were assisted by two members of our Chair, Lea Zuliani and Geza Tasner, who are also contributors to the volume.
